Halloween Decor House Decorating Tis The Season with LilacsNDreams. 

I truly like this time of year! The festivities, the gatherings, celebrations, decorating, and all the fun that 

comes with it too. I know this year is gonna be different for many, but I intend to do the best I can to enjoy this time with family, and friends.

If I haven’t mentioned it already our son is home from the service after serving 8 years. Now, with that said I will also comment it’s been that long since he really enjoyed celebrating holidays too. So, this year will be good starting with Halloween. I will say it is nice to have someone here to help me a little more with some of this too.

Ok, all the pictures below here are from one side of the house front till the other. The last picture captures how it looks at night.

There are 2 items missing that will be added on Halloween night. Sitting by the door will be a scarecrow holding a bowl of candy with his head down. Now, when you reach for a candy his head pops up, and he gives you a slight scare with the noise he makes. Also, that night we’ll have the left part of the porch blocked that you can’t see on the porch. In that corner will be a sensored spider that jumps out at ya. We need him to be back in the corner so he doesn’t attack anyone...LOL!

Farmers Market and Simply Blessed Calendars Dollar Tree

 

Farmers Market and Simply Blessed Calendars Popular From Dollar Tree with LilacsNDreams. 

Have you seen the rave for these calendars? They are very hard to find! The Farmers Market is very very scarce. The Simply Blessed  is also another calendar that is hard to find. These calendars are from the Dollar Tree, and have become extremely popular among Crafters. I was fortunate to be able to get 3 purchased through a Dollar Tree group that I’m associated with on Facebook. Anxiously awaiting for that arrival.

I have found some of these calendars on Mercari, Poshmark, and of course EBay too. The prices range from $6 up to $19.99 I have found. Of course a lot of that has a shipping cost on top of that price too. Sad when they sell for a $1 at the Dollar Tree. 

The artist to these calendars for Dollar Tree is Jennifer Pugh. I found her selling on Etsy as well. She has a bundle that you can buy. The bundle is not the calendar. What it consists of is a picture of each one in the calendar. These pictures are done on a 12 X 12 page that is blank on the backside. No print of what you see with the calendar pages. It’s a white blank. Of course it is a better paper too. With this you also get a bonus of 3 pages. They are adorable. Also, at Etsy with Jennifer she is offering sheets with the smaller 2 X 2 prints, and I think it was a total of 4 sheets with that offering too. 

Jennifer Pugh is the artist who has her deal with Dollar Tree. Her pictures are copyrighted, so you cannot make copies of them. She does enjoy seeing all the crafting that is being done with these calendars too. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

I wanted to make a small note here about an issue I had on Facebook recently. My LilacsNDreams page there that I’ve had for a long time decided to have some issues with it. It’s my page, but it got to a point I couldn’t do any postings on it. I found where it said my page was in good standing, no restrictions, but for some reason all of a sudden I didn’t have the permissible authority to do anything with it. Course I couldn’t get anyone at Facebook to help me either. I sent in a lot of reports with screenshots of the error I kept getting. Still no response, or fix to this day. So, I started another page, and called it Lilacs’N’Dreams Blog/Shoppe. If you get a chance stop on by there some time. I had a minor glitch that was happening with access to my pictures. I was able to back track, and fix that. Whew!

Fall Autumn Halloween Home Decorating Decor with LilacsNDreams!

Hello, and happy you dropped by. Can you feel it? Are you ready for it? Seasons are changing, and we have some holidays to celebrate too. Are you one that decorates for Halloween, then Fall, and then Thanksgiving all separately? Maybe you tie in Halloween with Fall, and Autumn then do Thanksgiving? Everyone has their own way, or tradition of preparing your homes for the season and holidays.

Right now I have a mess as you can see. Trying to gather things together from storage to see what I have for this season, and holidays. Also, the son and I went shopping today for Halloween decorations for the porch. He loves holidays, been almost 8 years since he celebrated Halloween at home which he enjoys. So, today he had fun. 

Ok, back to our decorating. For us in our home I will decorate for Halloween, and also for Autumn and Fall too. One advantage is a lot of the pumpkins I have can be used for the season, and holidays too. Outside will mostly be Halloween which we like to have fun with. Inside the home will be more fall decor with some Halloween shared in with it too. 

This last picture shows the pumpkin I made last year using 3 splatter screens, some spray paint, June rope, ribbon, and leaves. I just got my supplies together to make my fall tree with items from Dollar Tree. I hope to have that completed to show you next time you visit. 

Hope everyone is enjoying the change of season. It’s been great weather here, but did cool off today. I know it’s suppose to, but I still like comfortable weather that is not too hot, and not too cold.

Hello everyone, and happy to have you dropping by! Hope everyone had a great weekend! We had great weather here. The rain has let up, the sun came out, and we spent the weekend enjoying the uniting in marriage of some good friends. This wedding was so simple, so relaxing, and so comfortable it was so easy to enjoy the weekend preparations and celebrations too!

Been slowly adding things into my Shoppe at Etsy Season is changing, and I’m hoping to end the year with some joy, enjoyment, no worries, and making a fresh start into the new year. Christmas is my favorite time of year along with fall festivities too. Below you will see an item I just listed at Etsy for some Christmas wall decor. This is light weight, simple, but oh so cute! I united some plastic candy canes, I added an ornament in the center of this with the word JOY on it, I added little red and green bows in the center of the attached candy canes, and then I attached some red and green ribbon I braided to hang this with.

HAPPY LABOR DAY / WEEKEND From LilacsNDreams!

I know things have been a lot different this year with the COVID 19. Seasonal events, holidays, gatherings, schools closing and now openings, weddings, some who have been lost, and so much more! Social distancing has to be considered with almost everything. Festivities haven’t been quite as fun as they normally are to us.

Glass Candle Candy Snack Dish Pedestal Stand Home Decor

Glass Candle Bowl Dish Stand Candy Dish Jewelry Dish Snack Dish Bowl Pedestal Stand Home Decor Centerpiece Table Decor by LilacsNDreams.

I repurposed, restyled, and upcycled this gorgeous glass stand by using 3 pieces of glass. I united them using an industrial adhesive. I used a glass candle holder along with 2 glass snack dishes to make this pedestal stand. All pieces have a very clean shine, and show very very minimal signs of use, if any. I am not seeing, or feeling any knicks, chips, cracks, etc.

There are Many Ways to Use These Pedestal Stands:

~ Can be used for all types of events, and parties. Wedding, Anniversary, Birthday, Display in a Shoppe or Cafe, Special Occasions, Office Supplies, Catch all for everything, etc.

~ Great for displaying candles, candies, nuts, mints, pastries, truffles, etc

~ Unique home decor center piece, table decor, candle holder, some succulent plants, etc

~ Add a little glass cloche with it

~ Add some seasonal decor, some of your favorite things, knick knacks, etc

Many versatile uses to consider, scatter around the home for use, and I think you’ve got the idea. Another unique feature with some of the stands is that you can flip them over to use in a more single simpler way. This will depend on the base that the stand has.

Poshmark Sale With New Reversible Purse Bag at LilacsNDreams. 

Welcome everyone! I was so excited Saturday night to get notice of a sale with Poshmark! I received it later that night, was out for the night with family, and knew Sunday I would prepare everything for shipment Monday morning.

I woke Sunday morning, filled out what I needed to with Poshmark, and they then sent me my shipping label to use. If it was over 5 pounds for shipping you had instructions what to do then. I was planning on what box to use, checked printer for paper, located some tissue paper to use, got my shipping tape out, and cleared spot on table to prepare this shipment. Then, I went to my designated Sale Items area to retrieve this purse. 

I looked, looked, looked in containers, looked in boxes, moved things, and I just could not find it! See since our house has been getting remodeled things have been moved to make room for that, and everything was designated to different areas in order to find them when needed. Course no one remembers this, has no clue where it could be, and you have me being frustrated and upset at not finding this. 

So, I did something I have honestly never done in the years I’ve been selling on line. I had to cancel this order. I did that process with Poshmark. Then, I wanted to notify the customer myself about this cancellation, and the reason for it. I felt horrid doing this to her, my first sale at Poshmark, and just was not happy with this situation. 

I try to put myself into that situation as a customer, and try the best I can to communicate and be honest with them. I know it’s over, and done with now. But, I still feel horrible. Also, I have not found this particular bag, and a Coach purse I had listed in which I stopped that listing too. 

So, I had a great weekend until this sale I dealt with at Poshmark. I hope to get more things posted there, and some things I will sell through Facebook Marketplace.
