Fall Home Decor Done Simple Not Complicated

                         Easy Fall Decorations Ideas Inspiration

                      DIY Fall Home Decor

                     Fall Interior Decorating Made Simple

Fall Home Decor Done Simple Not Complicated

Yes, it's Fall Autumn time, and was curious is everyone is ready for it? Have you decorated for this changing season of leaves, pumpkins, halloween, and cooler weather? So, if you decorate for fall do you decorate a lot, do things outside, inside the home, or do you make it simple?

Fall decor, or any home decor really does not have to be complicated. You can create warm, and inspired items with just a few things really. A simple candle in a bowl surrounded with some chestnuts, and berries sometimes is enough. So lovely, and so adorable too. Perfect time to be thrift store shopping for some electic bowls, some fall colors, leaves, vines, and etc.

I have not done much for fall myself, or for Halloween....which I generally do. I am thinking ahead for Christmas because that is the one time I decorate everywhere. In the home, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, and of course outside too. Not too much, but just a little bit here and there. I am wanting to change things a bit this year, do it simple, a little bit of old with some of the upcycled pieces that I have done too. What fun don't you think?

So, how have you decorated so far this season? Were you able to do anything, find some inspiring ideas, or maybe you are waiting for the next following season. Whatever you have decided I hope you are having fun with it, and finding some inspiring ways to help you with your decor.

Thanks so much for sharing your time at LilacsNDreams, and hope to see you again soon. Have fun with your fall home decor, and may you enjoy all your decorating with your homes. Hey, it's always fun with help others who need it too. Till the next time everyone. Toodles . . . . . .

Repurpose Upcycle Reuse Unwanted Lamps With Home Decor

                                             Lamps Repurposed as Bird Baths

Lamp to Table With Before and After

Repurpose Upcycle Reuse Unwanted Lamps With Home Decor

I have a glass lamp that has that crystal look design sitting, and staring at me some days. I don't want to get rid of it because I feel there is another use for it. So, there is sits with the chandelier I have waiting on me to get busy. Well, the chandelier I have almost gutted out. Can't find my pliers to help me finish, and a wire cut me. So, I walked away for a bit. As for the lamp? I decided it was time to check around, and get some ideas to help inspire me. That I found too!

Often we get rid of our old lamps. You know those big old belly lamps, those ugly brass ones, something we got from Grandma, and you know what I mean. Sometimes if we don't give them away we maybe paint them, give them new lamp shades, but often we wonder what else could you do with them? Hey, we generally see them being offered at garage sales, thrift shops, on the side of the road, etc. What if we repurpose them into something for our home decor?

Above you will see some neat ideas that I found, and have shared with you. I really like the bird bath idea as I think I have an extra ceiling light cover hiding upstairs, or maybe an extra lid sitting some where I could use to make a bird bath.

The glass big belly old ones you see in the second picture was kind of neat what she did. She gutted them, and then put in a battery operated tea lite. They made some wonderful colored glass pieces for her home decor.

So, next time you want to be rid of that darn old lamp maybe you might want to repurpose it into something you can use again. Hey, I am thinking I would like to hit the thrift shops for some unwanted lamps, and maybe give them a new life too.

Thanks for visiting with LilacsNDreams, and hope you got some ideas for yourself. Have a happy thrifty crafty day, and see ya'll again soon. Toodles . . . . .

                                             Coffee Pot People Yard Ornaments

Coffee Pot People With DIY Projects Upcycled

It never ceases to amaze me the things that people do with everyday items from our homes, items found from thrift stores, pieces that have been thrown out to garbage, and etc. No wonder I don't get much done with all I can see on the internet, how I am amazed, and how I am in awe of so much of it . . . LOL:)

We often use our old coffee tea pots for maybe plants, and little things like that in our homes, or on our porches. As you can see there is more that we can do with them, and extra pieces that we find to help with these adorable lawn ornaments that have been made. I remember seeing this blog quite some time ago, and adored it then. Over time I had lost their blog address, but have found it again. I just had to share it with you all so that you could see some of the ideas shared with making Coffee Pot People. After visiting with them you might be able to get some wonderfully fun ideas for your crafting too.

Coffee pots, teapots, pan lids, vases, toasters, chandelier lights, a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and you have an adorable conversational piece that others will adore. Over at this blog you will see this, and other crafty things that they share along with just everyday things too. People like you, and me who happen to have a creative side of things too.

It is Monday, and I hope ya'll had a wonderful weekend. Did you do all you wanted? Did you get some thrifting done for certain projects, find some must have vintage pieces, or did you get some crafting done with maybe some painting, cleaning, and refurbishing too? Whatever you all did I hope you enjoyed, and was able to complete things you wanted to. I strayed away from my list of items to do, but I did get a few things done while I was able to.

Thanks so much for visiting with LilacsNDreams, and as always I hope you enjoyed your visit. Take care, and see you all again soon. Toodles . . . . . .

Brown Beaded Watch in Thrift Shop Finds

Black Scroll Stand or Wall Hanging For the Home

Thrift Shop Finds as Bathroom Accessories Decor

Black Scroll Stand Finds Another Use

Design Your Life With a Lil Sparkle and Creativity, what fun!

What a week! It's summer time, holiday, and I have to say it . . . I just feel lazy lately! I took a last minute week off from things a bit. Oh, yeah. With my shops, organizing at home, crafts, and I mostly lounged. But, I did take one day to myself to visit our local thrift store in town, and another one over yonder as well.

Both stores have things donated to them, but what a difference in some of the inventory and the prices too! Not to mention the hospitable service between the two also. I visited with Melissa's Hope Chest where I found the gorgeous heavy glass vase with some wonderful design in it. I also found the gold filigree vanity dresser frame tray there too. Oh, yes, I can't forget those wonderful vintage hangers that are fun to work with too! Some day I will have to show what I have been working for with those.

On my way home I stopped with our local thrift shop which does not happen often. I don't agree with their ethics there of how the employees take for themselves what comes through the door for donation, or they set things aside for close family members, and friends. The day I visited I watched a very expensive horse saddle brought ought for a customer. One of them good saddles that would cost about $1100+. I watched them bring it to the counter for this girl who then paid only $30 for it. Wow!

Anyway, that is where I found the black scroll stand or wall hanging. I also got the blue glass jar with the glass votive holders. I found the brown beaded watch there which is missing a bead, and needs a battery. But, it is something I can deal with to fix too. I got the cute little picture frame with stand to set on my vintage vanity in our bedroom, and the white stand is holding a picture of my grand daughter on my desk as I write this to all of you.

As you can see from the pictures I was undecided with the black scroll stand. Our downstairs bathroom is small, and I wanted something there to hold some rolls of toilet paper for us. I really don't have enough room to hang things on the wall, and was hoping this would work. It did at first, but I wasn't settled with it yet either. So, I then moved the stand into my office, and set it against the small wall with our clock above it. As I looked at it I was thinking of course. I then put something solid on the second shelf as you can see, and I am using the slots above to separate most of the mail that comes. Below it on a couple of the shelves I have put in small boxes of envelopes which fit in there good. So, it is working well in my office at this time....till I change my mind again.

You will also see that I did compromise for the bathroom an idea. I used the gold filigree tray to set a couple rolls of toilet paper on those, and on the side I decorated with the blue glass bottle, and the 2 votive candle holders. By the way, the 2 votive holders have tea lights in them that have a blue wick too. This all goes very well with our shower curtain that has a very light designs of vintage paper, vintage bathroom bottles, few butterflies, with colors of sand, blue, purple, and a beachy green color.

So, sometimes it is great to thrift shop for your business, crafting, and the things we do online or in our own stores. Yet, it is so much fun to thrift, and be able to create different things for our own homes too. Don't you think? Hey, doesn't hurt to add a little sparkle, and creativity to our homes, right?

Hope you all had fun visiting today, and maybe got a few ideas of things to do for yourselves. Remember you are always welcome to share some thoughts, and ideas with all of us here as well. Thanks for visiting with LilacsNDreams, and hope to see you all again soon. Have a sweet day everyone!
