Corona Virus at Home and Everywhere

LilacsNDreams Corona Virus at Home and Everywhere is happy to have you visiting today. 

How is everyone doing with the virus outbreak that we are having to deal with together? At first everything was fine with being at home. Son is home from service, started and trying to finish some things with this house, hubby still up and down the road in the truck, etc. The weather has been improving, and makes you want to be outside. Sitting on the porch at night with the dog running around has been relaxing. Everything feels fine, and spring is definitely moving in!

Sadly you realize that your routines are still not like they use to be. I miss spending, or wasting time visiting some of the Good Will Stores, some of the Thrift Stores, and I should be crafting too. But....instead it’s been things with the house, doing errands for supplies or house, and looking at piles that need to be organized and put into place some where. 

I believe we have decided on the tile for the dining room, and kitchen. The tile is chosen for the bathroom, and we are pretty much decided with our bedroom carpet. We’re about 1/2 way done with things....our son is doing a lot of the work so far. Now to go buy the linoleum, sub flooring, any other tools needed, etc. Once we start that part of the home fixing hubby will come home for a few days to work with our son to complete that part. 

How does everyone feel about this virus that we are dealing with? I have watched, read, and viewed many different opinions with this thing. Some are petrified, majority of people have taken the precautions that they need to, some are ready for this to be over....many businesses, and many are ready for things to open back up. Interesting thing our son read to me the other night. In like 2014/2015 the US applied for a patent for the corona virus. Then, in 2019 I think it was Europe applied for the patent to corona virus cure. Really? So, they knew about the virus, and do have a cure for this disease. They act like this is such a new thing, but things have been coming up showing that they have known about this virus for a long time. So, what is our government doing? Is this their way of “cleaning house” of certain things we don’t know about? Wow! Kind of scarey when you think about it, right? 

Sorry, not trying to be political. Everyone has their own thoughts, and feelings for this issue. I’m happy we still have our freedoms to be able to do that too. Just sharing a few thoughts. Not trying to start anything here.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday Shopping

Black Friday and Cyber Monday Shopping

So, did everyone survive the Thanksgiving weekend? Some spent time with family, friends, and some also spent some time maybe vegging in front of the tv doing their own thing around the home. Whatever you did I hope you had an enjoyable weekend. 

How many hit the specials with Black Friday? To this day I have not once attempted shopping during Black Friday. Don't take me wrong I enjoy specials, I enjoy really good deals, I love working with people, but I have a hard time dealing with shopping and very rude over ambitious shoppers who take the fun from shopping during this time. Now, for Cyber Monday I could see me doing this. I enjoy being online, and as mentioned I do enjoy shopping. 

Whatever you did during these special shopping days I hope you enjoyed it, and are still enjoying the specials that you can find. Better yet.....I hope the shopping has been fun for you, and you got what you were looking for....and them some extras too. I mostly enjoy shopping during this time of year for others, and being able to give to some a little bit of what they want too. Special the grand daughter. Watching a child's face during this time of year makes it more fun, and all the more enjoyable too.

Don't forget to search online for some of those special gifts you are looking for, or checking out some of the shops offered by many with their treasures of vintage, everyday, upcycled, and handmade goods being offered with Etsy, Ecrater, Ebay, and so on. Check the search engines such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo and just put in some words of items you are interested in. There will be choices there for you to further view, and shop with.

Thanksgiving Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Welcome to LilacsNDreams, and hope everyone had a great weekend! Things are moving faster, and this week is already Thanksgiving. Where did November go to? So many things to do, shopping to be done, food preparations to be making for Thanksgiving, etc. Not only Thanksgiving this week, but to also start preparing for Christmas which will quickly be here too. 

Not only is everyone getting ready for Thanksgiving with Family, Friends, or however it is being spent, but there is also Black Friday to consider right after this. In fact, not even the next day, but some start things at midnight, and I heard of 1 place that was doing something at 8 p.m. Thursday night too. How fun, and exciting. Yet, it is also sad too. We push the holidays, gotten caught up with the rush of things that we have forgotten to truly acknowledge the holidays we are celebrating. 

So, how many have plans for Black Friday? Whether you do sales online, or you are attending the sales yourself, it is a big day. The rush of people going into stores, some will be at the stores extremely early to wait for them to open, things will get hectic, and yes people will also be pushing & shoving to get some where. You will see some rude people during this time too. After we have Black Friday then there will be Cyber Monday too. I know there are people who do online sales that are also gearing up for this event as well. Pictures, listings, tagging, titles, keywords, and etc. All the preparations being made during this time for these events. 

How many will be attending different stores on these events? If you are selling online, or have a physical store are you prepared for them as well? You know I have never participated with a Black Friday yet, and not quite sure if I will be doing it yet this year either. Hope everyone is getting prepared for those times, but also don't forget to celebrate Thanksgiving Day with others too.
