Fall Halloween Home Decor Handmade Repurposed Restyled DIY

Fall Halloween Home Decor That’s Handmade Repurposed Restyled and DIY

Welcome to LilacsNDreams Everyone! Glad you stopped by!

Below you will see pictures of things I have been working on within the past couple days that I have completed. Excuse the order of the pictures as me, and my IPad are not getting along tonight. I am showing you pictures of before, or close to it. Then, you are seeing the completed projects too. The little fall tree below is made from a Dollar Tree plunger, some burlap, Dollar Tree leaves, a planter, some glue, and etc.

Below were a couple of items I got from the Dollar Tree store. A witches hat with a purple Boo, and below it is some witches feet that also have purple, and black coloring too. Below this picture you will see the completed project where I attached the witches feet to the bottom of the hat.

Below you will see my first time creation of making a pumpkin from splatter guards bought from the Dollar Tree store. This picture is the completion, and below this picture you will see a picture showing the guards connected, painted, and before the leaves and ribbon had been added.

Below is a picture of my light post outside our front door. I added a little fall decor to that with Dollar Tree leaf vine, and in the pot some Dollar Tree fall flowers, and a couple of gores too. The lights you see came with this light pole.

I had fun with these projects, and am anxious to do more too. But, first I need to get some more glue to work with.

Thank You for stopping by LilacsNDreams! Take care till the next time! Toodles....

Vintage Repurposed Reclaimed Handcrafted Found Second Chances

Vintage Repurposed Reclaimed Handcrafted all deserve Second Chances

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! Happy to have you here!

Second Chances I believe is deserved with vintage, repurposed, reclaimed, handcrafted, DIY, and found items. These treasures sometimes just need a little dusting, little cleaning, touch of paint, sometimes a unity of pieces to create something new, and to be loved. This is something I truly enjoy doing as I treasure hunt through flea markets, thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, and etc. Once in a while these treasures may find their home with me, but mostly I enjoy being able to offer them to you through my Shoppe at Etsy

Below you will see a few pictures of items that I have cleaned, and are preparing for unity with another piece. With these items I have made 4 cake cupcake plate pedestal stands. Not pictured is some pink glass pieces I am preparing as well. Some have been completed, and will sit for the night bonding and drying. Then, I will be able to move those pieces to the side to make room for the rest I would like to complete. Once I have them done I will make sure to picture them, and share them with you how they look with the completed unity. I’m excited because I am growing my inventory with things to start listing them at my Shoppe with Etsy

I love how the snowman pedestal plate stand looks combined with the red base, and I love the combination of the 2 smaller green glass pieces together too. The possibilities with pieces like this are endless! Use them for holidays, weddings, special occasions, to serve with, etc. They are also great to use with your home decor as candle holders, jewelry holders, organize in the kitchen with soap and cloth, same in the bathroom, a catch all when you walk in the door, and the possibilities are endless! Sorry, I get carried away with the excitement and joy of working with some of these pieces. Can you tell? LOL!

I want to Thank You so much for visiting with LilacsNDreams! I enjoy you visiting, and hope to see you again soon. Till the next time, Toodles!

Simplify Repurpopse Upcycle Reuse Things Already in the Home

Simplify, Repurpose, Upcycle, Reuse Things Already in the Home.

Hello, and Welcome to LilacsNDreams everyone! Glad to have you here, and hope your Monday is off to a good start for the early risers too.

As many know over time I have been downsizing things in our home. Not only to be rid of things not being used, but to help make things easier for when we do move also. Some things I have been selling from my collections, or have been crafting with some pieces I have too. Then there are other things I load up, and drop them off at a place that helps others. At the same time I also give things away to others who might be in need, or are needing some extra things for their homes. I have been waiting on a truck with one couple so that they can get one of my chairs, and a couple of my older end tables too. They both work, have a baby coming, and moved into a home. They could use a few more items. Hate to see things go, but also enjoy helping others who can use them too.

Letting things go has always been hard for me as it is for many others too. No, I am not a hoarder, but rather a keeper of precious things. Some items I keep thinking I will use it, maybe if I add a little paint I will like it more, I can't think of anything right now, but I am sure I will come up with something later, and etc, and etc. Know what I mean?

I have been working on simplifying things in my life, at home, and downsizing the clutters I have. I enjoy being able to use the things I love, and showing the things I love without all of them being in boxes, or hidden in closets too. Some things I hate to let go, but later I am happy that I have done so too. I am thinking I will wait till I move, but I have a room divider here that is 3 panels that pictures would go into. You know, pictures that are sized close to 8 x 10. It is an oak wood which I like, but I am thinking of making it into something to fit more into the decor of things I have today. Hmmm....I could paint it, add chalkboard where the pictures would go, I could take the panels apart to use them in different places in the home, and I am seeing some possibilities for it. I might have to research this a bit more, and bring it back here to share with ya'll what I have found others doing too.

I want to thank you all for sharing your time with LilacsNDreams. I appreciate the visits, and I really appreciate your comments that are shared here, or in private emails to me as well. Thanks again, and ya'll have a wonderful weekend! See you again soon.
