DIY Repurpose Upcycle Handmade Dollar Tree Pizza Pans for your home decor, or wall decor with LilacsNDreams. 

I love to be able to craft with some of the simplest items making something new again with them. Use something simple to start with, not real big, be creative, have fun, and making something unique for your home. Great to make for gifts on special occasions, gifting to someone special, and of course you can do this to resell pieces too. Please see the pictures below here….I’m sharing just a few..trying to show a little variety…LOL! There are sooo many out there to share that it was hard to choose. Some of these came from Pinterest…which is always a good source to search. Many are from groups on Facebook that I follow too. 

Now all of these beautiful pieces you are seeing, and adoring are made from the pizza pans from the Dollar Tree store. If you can’t find any there due to demand you can find some at Dollar General, Walmart, maybe second hand stores, and etc. 

You can use the pizza pan as it is along with many other ways of decorating it too. Some will paint them, some use mod pudge for the adhesive, and sealant sprays for finishing. The calendar pages have been real popular to use. You can also use placemats, napkins, ribbon, rope, lace, scrapbook paper, buttons, ribbon, stencils, cricut adhesive cut outs, and the possibilities are endless! These can be made to hang, or they look great placed in a picture holder too. I have seen both sides of the pan used in the creations of many who have shared their completed projects. The front face of the pan is more popular used, but things looked great done on the back too. 

Holidays are approaching. This is a great way to make some of your decorations to adorn your home, or the homes of family and friends. Great for those who sell online too. For more inspirations make sure to google this, look at Pinterest, look on Etsy, or even check facebook too. 

I have a stack of pans waiting for me to start grabbing some to work on. I’m even thinking of making a single tier stand with the pans too. I ever get that done I will make sure to share with all of you.

Vintage Fenton White Glass Hobnail and Repurposed Glass

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! Vintage Fenton Hobnail White Glass and Repurposed Glass is what has kept me busy the past few days. I was occupied with a little bit of thrifting, and tonight working with a little bit of creating something with some glass pieces. I’m excited, and happy to be doing a little bit of work right now.

Last weekend was wedding in Arkansas which was very much enjoyable. We did take time to stop at one flea market, and found a few treasures there. It was good to be able to do that with Hubby, and he enjoyed it too.

We got back home, he left in the truck, I got dog back home, did errands and catch up with some things, then thrifting one day with a friend, and another day of thrifting myself. I’m happy with treasures found to sell as found, and I’m excited to work with some pieces I have designated for some things.

Tonight I’m sharing a Fenton piece I found that is vintage from 1970s, and some glass pieces I am in the process of putting together. Glue is drying, and I decided I needed to come visit y’all here while that was working. Below you will find pictures for things I have mentioned.

 

These are 3 glass pieces that I have decided to unite into 1 piece. Everything was gently washed, air dried, and now I’ve begun combining them. I will visit y’all later to show you the finished project. 

 

Here is the Vintage Fenton Hobnail White Milk Glass that I had found. This is from the 1970s, has all original manufacture stickers on it, and it looks like it was never used. With all the stickers like they are I feel it was not used, but was sitting/displayed as is. Vintage beauty in my hands. Feels great!

DIY Ideas For Making Coasters at Home, how neat, and actually simple to do too. 

So, how did the weekend go for everyone? During the summer I get these urges to slack off a little bit with my blog, or anything else actually. As for stepping away from the computer, are you serious? That I don't seem to do! Either using the desk top, my phone, or my iPad that was given to me by our son . . .I live on the computers. I LOVE to read things, view other blogs, research, and when I come across diy projects I feel like a fire has been lit underneath me. I just keep looking, reading, looking, and reading. Taking some notes for my to do lists, supplies, etc. 

I have seen this done before, made notes of it, but felt this was one of them simple projects that I should share with you. Most of us, I know I do, will have the supplies already at home. If not, it truly is inexpensive to do these. Better yet, you can create anything you would like with making your own coasters. 

Let's see now . . . scissors, pencils, felt or cork board (felt is cheaper), mod podge, foam/sponge brush, ceramic tiles, and some water resistant clear acrylic spray, or polyurethane spray.  These are some of the supplies needed. It is your preference as to what you make them with. Maybe you would like to use some paint, stencils, scrap materials, and etc. There is no limit to what you use.

Now, what you put on top of the coasters you make is up to you. This is where you can have some really true fun doing this. Use scrapbook paper, wrapping paper, maps, pretty napkins, family photos, scrabble letters, and just whatever you have around the house would work.
