Gaining Business Perspective With Personal Attempt

Welcome back to LilacsNDreams! Today is about some business perspective with personal attempts. 

Some of us might paint, glue, decorate, and create something for a friend or relative which is then our hobby. Yet, when you list that hobby of yours online to try and sell it is when it becomes business. This is something we need to realize when we are doing this. It will help us eventually with making our hobby into a business. 

You will often hear the term saturated market when discussing your passion, and don't let it scare you. This means there is a higher demand for what you enjoy doing. Sometimes this can create a problem because we might think about it, and scare ourselves with the issue of there is so many upcyclers and repurposers out there, so many painters, so many crafters, many hobbiests, many offering their services, and so on. Please, don't let this damper things for you, and get in your way of making your hobby a successful business. When you start your business around your personal creations, or your services it is natural to do this. It is only natural that your personal feelings, and thoughts will be involved with this as well. 

When you are in business you need to be open to feedback, or as Etsy calls it now reviews. If you take the outside views personally then you will be closing yourself off to critism, and taking them as insults. So, as hard as it can be, you need to be open to feedback. Remember these people are in their own way helping you to make them a customer, and maybe repeat customers too. 

When scoping out the market sometimes it is good to find some role model businesses. This type of business will be someone, or a business that does things similar to what you would like to do and achieve. The answers you sometimes seek will be within this gathering of the role model you have sought out.

Your role model can be an example of how you would like to turn your product, or your service into a business. Incorporating some of their ways into how you do business can help spark some ideas for you with the growth of your own business. 

Go to google, and do a keyword search for product, or services of your liking. Upon doing this you will see those that show within the first few pages of search. Within there you can find a role model that you like, or maybe you know of a business already that you would like to consider for your role model. 

Then, try to figure out what is working for them by asking yourself a few questions. 

• How do they present, or show their products online
• What are they calling the product that you make
• How do they describe it
• Review how their customer policies look
• What might they be doing better than you
• What are you maybe doing better than them
• Make sure to see how their about page reads too

Bigger businesses will often leave their marketing, copyrighting, and some advertising research out there for you. What you need to do is dig a little deeper, enjoy, and learn to use it to your advantage.

Yes, some of them spend a lot of money on their advertising. If you are like me you won't have many funds to begin with on this venture. So, you learn to do it in other ways like using Facebook. Learn how to use the curve in another way by applying it into something else that will work for you.

Fruit and Cinnamon Stick Candle Holders DIY

It's Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and soon Christmas. Many of us like to have fun with our home decors, and decorating during this time. Some of us will store buy things to fill our homes, and then there are many of us who wish to be crafty with do it yourself projects.

During this time of year, and with the season we see more emphasis with candle holders. Oh, don't take me wrong these are popular all year long with festivities, weddings, celebrations, and etc. During this time of year we just happen to see a few more of them with all the sweet, and yummy smells that we can get from them. 

Above I have shared a couple of pictures found to demonstrate a little bit of what I would like to share. These are sure to get some of them creative juices going with some wonderful ideas for our homes. If you like the smells of fruits, lemons, limes, artichokes, and etc this is a fun project to do. Really simple for any of us to do as well. Take your favorite fruit, or with Halloween use some small mini pumpkins and ghords. Make sure to get some tea light candles for this, or you could use a little bigger candle too. Cut a hole into the fruit, or vegetable the size of the tea light candle which is commonly used. You can cut a little bigger for just a little bit bigger candle, or maybe a hole the size to hold a taper candle too. Then put the candles in, and light them up! Neat, cute, and wonderfully smelling too. 

Another idea you will see from above is using some cinnamon sticks. Hmm...smell those already! Perfect for this time of year too. You can either glue the cinnamon sticks to the candle, add some twine, and other embellishments too. You could also glue the cinnamon sticks to a candle holder, and then insert a candle. An idea for those who like cinnamon and apples is to maybe glue the sticks to an apple that has had the center cut from it, and then add a tea light candle to that. 

Endless possibilities, inexpensive, and what fun this would be too! Hope this helps with some ideas for this upcoming season, and the holidays.

Vintage Ornaments Bottle Brush Tree Santa Baby is also another listing done by the same artist. You need to visit to see this person's creations, how they do it, and what they are using too. She does quite well with selling these beautiful creations of hers too.

Welcome to LilacsNDreams everyone, and hope you are enjoying the pictures, and links being shared to you by a seller that I have found at Ebay who goes by the name tobibritt. If you like bottle trees, the creations of them, glitter, pinks, using some vintage pieces, and having some lovelies showing in your home, I would give her a visit. I also found that she has a shop at Etsy, has a blog, and has a website too. With these last 2 places mentioned you can read a little bit more about her, and follow along with her journeys of creating. She shares other things as many of bloggers do which makes it fun, and interesting to pop in now, and then for a visit. She appears to keep things upbeat, festive, and is enjoyable to visit from time to time as well. 

I enjoy finding these bottle brush trees, am in awe of some of them that are created, and of course have it on my list to work on, and do some for home along with selling also. Most of the trees I have found have been adorable, come with the general stands, are displayed in little villages, and etc. With this seller she caught my attention with how she does these just a little bit differently making these pieces unique, and attractive for those who buy them as well. 

So, if you like bottle trees with a little bit of glitter, some ornaments, and want something just a little bit more unique stop by to visit the places mentioned for this creative seller.
