Glass Angel Vintage Wood Blocks Candy Cane Wreath Handmade Repurposed

Glass Angel Vintage Wood Blocks Candy Cane Wreath DIY Handmade Repurposed Holiday Home Decor Christmas

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! Below you will see pictures to projects that I have completed fully today. Yes, I did stay busy today, and was determined to get some things done. I need to make room to craft more projects sitting, and looking at me. I would glue a little, and while that was sitting and bonding I would do other household things. You know the usual with laundry, bedding, sweeping/swifting the floors with everything that collects here.

This Candy Cane Wreath I showed you last week, and I’m sorry I haven’t posted it yet at my Shoppe with Etsy like I wanted too. This is the completed look with the ribbon hanger I was able to get measured out, and attached to it today.

This is another project I had started. I’ve had the vintage wooden blocks glued together showing the word sewing. Today I completed it by attaching different little embellishments to it like straight pins, needle, safety pins, spools of vintage thread, a clothespin, and some buttons too.

Here is the glass Angel I have completed. I used a fan light glass fixture, a glass ornament, some yarn for her hair, pipe cleaner for her halo and neckline, and I added a creme colored flower with a clear stone in the center of it for her neckline. This is the first time I have added yarn for hair. Not sure if I’m content with it yet. I maybe should have made it longer, used another method, etc. I did use a fine point black permanent marker to make her some eyes, and a mouth by hand. This is my first like this, and next time I will do a little different I think.

So, that has been my day today. I stayed busy, and finally accomplished a few things. Now to get this listed with my Shoppe at Etsy I have appointments on Monday. We’ll see how tired I am Monday night. Crossing my fingers I get that done. I’m anxious to work on some other craft goodies I have supplies sitting here to use for those. I’m excited, and will share with everyone as I progress.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and visiting with LilacsNDreams! Feel free to stop on by anytime! Take care till the next time we gather everyone. Toodles . . . .

Christmas Holiday Repurpose Upcycle Restyle Reclaim Treasures

Christmas Holidays Treasures Repurposed Upcycled Restyled and Reclaimed

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! This won’t be real long today. Sorry, I just didn’t get anything completed this week. I started some projects, researched some ideas of how tos, place things together, and later move them around again. You know one of those kind of weeks.

I did get Halloween decorations brought in from outside. Items that could still be used for fall, and Thanksgiving I left out.

We don’t have a lot of space in the house we are in. Unfortunately, until we can get this place decently fixed we can then list it as a fixer upper home.  We have decided this is not the project for us to complete, and continue living in. Biggest issue is the size of the home, family, and our life style.

Anyway, getting back to my posting today. Above you will see pictures of items that are all in the working. I’m making another angel, and this time I’m adding some yarn for hair on her. I’m thinking of using either angel wing ornament for her wings, or off to the side I have something else I am considering. I did get the yarn cut for her hair. I need to get it applied to her head, and get her finished.

The other 2 pictures show some of my old wooden blocks sitting in different little groups. I am spelling words with them, and will offer them in my Shoppe at Etsy I have one listed at Etsy that spells QUILT. The one I need to finish that has some old thread spools on it says SEWING. I enjoy putting these blocks together, and then decorate them just a little bit for the wording used. I do have 2 Christmas words grouped I’ll be working with too.

Hope everyone had a fun, and enjoyable Halloween with all that you did. Next is Thanksgiving, and then Christmas. This year will soon becoming to its end. Soon it will be 2020!

Thanks for visiting with LilacsNDreams! Enjoyed your visit! Stop on back anytime. I appreciate the visits, the comments, and the messages with different posts. Take care till the next time. Toodles!

Vintage Wood Blocks Pine Cones Crafting Repurpose Handmade

Vintage Wood Blocks Pine Cones Crafting Repurpose Handmade

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! It will be a while before my computer is fixed, or I have to get another computer. Please bear with me. Using my iPad, and for some reason it is not fully cooperating with what I am wanting to do. Darn technology, right?

Ok, so getting on with my topic today. Above you will see pictures showing some things I am preparing, or will be using to craft with. Spring time, I can open windows, step on porch to do some spray painting, and it feels great!

The first picture shows my set of vintage wood blocks that I have received. I got these to do one craft I have in mind. If you can remember my blocks I did making the word quilt, well this one will be similar with a different word made. Also, during this week I noted a few more ideas I would like to do with blocks left over from this repurposed craft I’ll be doing. Since it was bright sunny nice out today I grabbed some of my pine cones, and went out on the porch to spray paint a few of them for other projects that I will be creating too. I enjoy creating crafts, sometimes I repeat the same ideas, but not one of them will ever be exactly the same as the next. In some way there will always be some minor difference that makes them different. Each piece becomes unique in their own way.

So, that is something I was able to work on this week, and start to prepare for what I want to do. Something I didn’t picture was that I did a little more thrifting on Friday. Got a few more glass pieces, and some odds and ends I can use with other projects coming up too. Like I mentioned earlier I enjoy this time of year very much!

Thanks so much for visiting with LilacsNDreams, and hope to see you stop again soon.
