Halloween Home Decorating Inside and Out

Halloween Home Decorating Inside and Out with LilacsNDreams. Welcome to everyone visiting today!

Below you will see some pictures for how I have done some Halloween decorating inside our home. In those pictures are a couple of shots that show some of the bigger items that will be standing, or hanging outside too. I’m behind this year with decorating, but will get it done. It’s fun for us at home, but we so enjoy watching the reactions of the kids…some adults too with the decorations we do. It adds a little more to the holiday spirit of things.

Skeleton swinging, cemetery fencing, skeleton hands and heads, headstones, blow up Frankenstein, and more are for outside the house

This is a side view of our headless man holding an animated pumpkin, and he’s holding an axe too which will be standing outside as well too

I also wanted to note that as of yesterday my niece had invited me to one of her vender fairs she will be attending. I figured I would be helping like I have before. This time she suggested I bring some of my things along to offer too. So, I’m excited as we will have 2 booths side by side, and between our products we will have a variety of things to offer. She does shirts, keychains, bags for kids, and other kid items too. So, with all the handmade, and repurposed upcycled items offered it should be fun too!

Thanks for visiting with LilacsNDreams today! Have a great day! Be safe, and see you again soon.

Halloween Home Decor Preparations Outside Decorating

Halloween Home Decor Preparations Outside Decorating with LilacsNDreams.

Welcome Everyone visiting with LilacsNDreams today! Seasons are changing, Fall is here, and along with this comes my favorite holidays too. We usually decorate quite a bit outside the home for Halloween. Last year we had a spider that was activation sensored. When you walked up to the porch stairs he would jump at you. Many of the kids enjoyed, and we had some parents want to video tape it in action too. We had a scarecrow that sat in the chair with the bowl of candy for the trick or treaters who stopped by. When your hand went into the bowl to get candy his head came up, and he briefly spoke. We also had a sensored ghost that hung at top of stairs. So much fun watching reactions from kids, and the adults too.

This year with the new house we moved into we will be using these same things along with a few other things we have purchased too. Our porch is longer, we have bushes in front and along side of house. We also have the fenced back yard that we can do lights with that too. We have a headless man with an axe held above that stands about 7 1/2 feet, and holding a pumpkin that is sensored with 3 phrases. Bushes on side of house will have the headstones in them with skeleton heads, and hands coming out of the ground. We also have a skeleton that sits on a swing that will be hanging from the porch too. Oh, and we have a blowup Frankenstein we are anxious to see too.

Our property is on a corner lot with more yardage for the decorating, and fun that we enjoy having. So, today we have containers in the living room separated for outside, and inside decorating. Tomorrow I will determine what things will be used for decorating in the home, put containers away not used, and then I will have to get some nails to use with hanging lights, and things on the porch. Weather looks to be good, and I’m excited for this too.

Hope this finds everyone doing well. Thanks so much for visiting with LilacsNDreams! Take care, be safe, and see you all again soon. Toodles . . . . . .

Handmade Upcycled Restyled Repurposed Halloween Decor

Welcome to LilacsNDreams! Last day of September, and into October we go. Kind of exciting time of year don’t you think? We are into Fall for the season, and now we have holidays for the rest of the year.

Halloween, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas. Sadly, each year with retail things are pushed onto us faster, and faster. We hadn’t even gotten to the end of September, and already Christmas was being stocked or was pretty much stocked. That part is a little disturbing because we are losing out on the fun of things, and making memories for these times.

So, anyway I’m trying to focus on Halloween. I have been crafting for Halloween. Got my pumpkins done with the splatter guards. I had scraps of Halloween material I had picked up. I was gonna get some cheap toilet paper to make these little pumpkins, but I did something different. I had collected a few empty toilet paper rolls. I used those to group together for the pumpkin bodies, and for their stems. I only used a little glue for the burlap wrap done for the stems. The material, and the leaves were all tucked in tightly to places, and have been holding pretty good.

I started decorating a little bit on the front porch for Halloween. When it quits raining I’ll be able to get some pictures to show to all of you.

I appreciate everyone stopping by to visit with Me at LilacsNNDreams! Thank You! Hope to see you all again soon.
